Judy and the cow (testing to see how this works)

one time i got my friend judy to help me load a 1500 pound cow to take to the auction.
now you must picture judy.
she is high class, perfect hair , nails sculpured and painted, crisp clothing, perfect makeup etc.
to load this cow we didn't have a ramp we just had to get it to hop into the trailer from the 1/4 acre yard he was in.
i had judy "man" the swinging door on the trailer. my son with a flake of hay was inside the trailer to "coax" the cow in and i had a broomhandle and was the "herder". (this was long before jake---and one of the reasons i love jake so!)
after numerous romps around the yard we finally got the cow to get it's front legs into the trailer.
i told judy to start closing the door while i poked and poked the cows rear to get him to hop his back feet in.
while poking, the broomhandle just slipped into an orifice of the cow that broomhandles were never meant to go in.
judy still manning the door screamed (with widened eyes) "pull it out"!!!!!!!
when i pulled it out it kinda set things off with the cow. only a person who has seen a cow that has been on grass pasture can understand this is not real solid matter. that cow started shooting out green slime for 3 feet. judy was screaming "DO SOMETHING" but she never let go of that door. (i'll tell you i was backing out of there fast)
i grabbed a pallet and when the cow finished its business i proceeded to push it the rest of the way into the trailer whereupon judy slammed the door shut and latched it as fast as she could with my son still locked inside the trailer with the cow.
i finally convinced her she had to let my son out of the trailer before he got kicked or something. she cracked the door just enough to let him out then slammed it shut and locked it again.
the cow made it to the auction and i gained a high respect for that woman that day!!!!
funny thing---in the 17 years i've now known her, she has never offered to help me load a cow again!

ROFL! I laughed pretty hard while reading this. I'll file this under "What NOT to do to a poor cow" :)
